Can Anyone Really Make Money Online?

There are thousands of different programs that offer you the opportunity to make money with a simple internet business. At some point, we all have gone on to a search engine to look for get-rich-quick schemes or work-from-home programs. There is a morass of these sorts of opportunities and scams available to you. For our purposes here, we are going to sift through some of this junk and try to determine whether there is any hope for those of us who truly want to make money with our own online business.

We will begin our discussion with my personal favorite; sites that claim to have work-from-home or telecommuting jobs being offered by fortune 500 companies, and you can submit your resume if you pay a membership fee to join the website so you can gain access to their job postings. However, after you pay the fee, you will quickly discover that most of the jobs posted are either bogus, or pyramid schemes, or jobs that almost no one is qualified for. Usually, when a legitimate corporation posts a job opportunity on one of these telecommuting job sites, they never contact any of the applicants who submit resumes. The human resources department of that company is merely using the site as a way to collect resumes in case they want to contact someone who meets their qualifications for a certain job, but not necessarily the job being listed on the website.

The next most common scam you are likely to encounter is the MLM (Multi-Level-Marketing). These are companies that have some sort of product or service that they want you to sell. You will receive a commission on each sale you make, but to make significant money, you need to recruit other sales reps to join the business. Your recruits, and anyone else recruited by the people you recruited as well as the recruits of the recruits of the recruits of the recruits, become part of what is called a downline. Sounds confusing, huh? Well, to put it simply, you will receive a commission on every sale made by each person in your downline; the closer to you in the downline, the larger share of the commission you will receive. It is sort of like a family tree. However, if you join an MLM, you will discover that it is almost impossible to make any sales because the leads you will receive will be unqualified or insufficient, and the people in your downline will not make significant sales either. It is virtually impossible to make decent money working for an MLM.

Next on the list is perhaps my favorite internet con of them all; making money by filling out surveys! There are hundreds or even thousands of these survey companies that say they will pay you a fee for each survey you complete, but you will never get paid. Many people have tried this, but when they arrive at the end of the questionnaire, there is always some sort of exception, or a request for additional information in order to qualify for some other survey where you will then be able to get paid. Basically, these surveys are simply a means for collecting your personal information in order to sell it to other companies that are buying leads for telemarketing or for sending bulk email.

In addition, there are a lot of pyramid schemes pervading the internet. With a pyramid scheme, you are asked to contribute a certain amount of money, and then you are promised a return when new investors make their contribution. Eventually, the pyramid collapses when money owed to the previous investors is more than what can be raised. Pyramid schemes are almost always a sham.

I hope this information will help you steer clear of some or all of these scams. No one gets rich overnight. The only way to make money on the internet is by starting your own legitimate business.

Google Adsense: Why It's The Easiest Money In Online Business!

For the last couple of years, Google Adsense has dominated forums, discussions and newsletters all over the Internet. Already, there are tales of fabulous riches to be made and millions made by those who are just working from home. It seems that Google Adsense has already dominated the internet marketing business and is now considered the easiest way to making money online.

The key to success with Adsense is the placing of ads on pages that are receiving high traffic for high demand keywords. The higher the cost-per-click to the advertiser, the more you will receive per click from your site. Obviously, it does not pay to target low cost-per-click keywords and place them on pages that do not receive hits.

With all the people getting online and clicking away everyday, it is no wonder why Google Adsense has become an instant hit. The only question is: Why aren't you a part of it?

For some who are just new to this market, it would be a blow to their pride knowing that their homepage is buried somewhere in the little ads promoting other people's services. But then, when they get the idea that they are actually earning more money that way, all doubts and skepticism is laid to rest.

There are two major, and clever, factors that some successful webmaster and publishers are learning to blend together in order to make money easier using Adsense.

1. Targeting high traffic pages on your website. If you check on your logs, you will discover that many of your visitors are taking advantage of the free affiliate marketing resources and ebooks that you are offering on your site. In simple words, your ads are working effectively and are generating more clicks. It also means more money for you.

2. Placing Adsense links on pages that are producing little, or better yet, no profit. By placing Adsense on a free resources page, you will reduce the amount of potential customers being lost to other sites. Tricky, but effective nonetheless.

When learned to work effectively, these two factors are actually a good source of producing a minimal amount of revenue from a high traffic page. Many people are using this strategy to pick up some extra and cash with Adsense. This is also especially rewarding to informational sites that focus their efforts on delivering powerful affiliate link free content to their visitors. Now they can gain a monetary return on their services.

With the many techniques that people are now learning on how to make the easiest money by their Adsense, it is not surprising that Google is trying everything to update and polish their Adsense in order to maintain their good image.

The possibility of adding a 2nd tier in Adsense is not impossible. With all the people spending more time in their Adsense now and still more getting into this line of marketing, there is no doubt about the many new improvements yet to be made. Imagine the smiles on the faces of the webmasters and publishers all around the world if ever they sign up for sub-affiliates and double or even triple the amount that they are already earning.

The one particularly handy money-making feature that is available with Adsense now is the ability to filter out up to 200 urls. These gives webmasters the option to block out low value offers from their pages as well as competitors to their websites. Talk about taking only those that are advantageous and discarding the ones that seem "useless".

With Google Adsense, the possibilities are limitless. Yet there is also the possibility of someone taking advantage of the easy money process that this internet marketing is doing. If you think more about it, these negative factors may force Google to break down and thrash Adsense in the process. If that happens, people would have to go back to the old ways of internet marketing that does not make money online as easy as Adsense.

One of the newest ways to use adsense is Google Adsense Revenue Sharing. You can make a post on a forum or video site, and if you make enough posts, you get to share 50-100% of the sites Adsense profit back to you. And this is not even related to your own site, but other people's. How exciting is that? Simply type in Google Adsense Revenue Sharing, and watch the sites pop up!

For now, however, Google Adsense is here to stay. As long as there are people wanting to earn some easy cash online just using their talents, the future ahead is looking good. Besides with all the strict guidelines that Google is enforcing over Adsense, it will take awhile for the Adsense privileges to be spammed and even terminated.

Making a Living Online

If you want to become instantly wealthy without ever having to work for someone else, then you and I share the same ambition. I too would like to sit around the house counting my money, eating potato chips, and watching the results of paternity tests being revealed live on the Maury Povich show. For the purposes of this discussion, we will outline a strategy for making a steady income on the internet without having to do too much work.

The easiest way to make money online is with a simple website that provides free information or a free service. If you are an expert in a particular field, or have acquired a great deal of knowledge about a certain topic, then you should set up a website that provides detailed information about your area of expertise. Hire a web designer to design your site.

Once your site is ready, submit it to search engines. Also, write articles and submit them to online article submission directories. As you put more and more articles into circulation, your number of inbound links will increase and your site will begin receiving traffic.

If the content or information you offer is important and instructive, then your site will be a valuable commodity - you will be able to make money with affiliate programs, dealer programs, pay-per-click (PPC) programs, or by selling advertising space on your website.

An affiliate program is a commission-based sales program whereby you, the affiliate, place a banner on your website that links to another website where a certain product or service is fold. You receive a commission on any sales resulting from any referrals you provide. Do a search on Google for affiliate programs and you will find thousands of different affiliate opportunities.

A dealer program is a little different from an affiliate program. With a dealer program, you actually add a webpage to your own site that is tailored to fit the look and feel of your own website, but you are actually selling the products or services of another company, who processes the orders and then pays you a commission.

You can also display pay-per-click (PPC) advertisements on your webpage. You need to sign up with companies that deliver PPC ads. Nextag has a pay-per-click program, as do several ad delivery services such as Adrevolver. Google Adsense is probably the most popular pay-per-click advertisement service on the internet, and you should definitely sign up with them.

You can make some significant ad revenue from your site by actually charging companies a fee to advertise on your website. For this to happen, your website has to establish itself as receiving a lot of high quality traffic. If you have a website that gets thousands of hits per day, you need to have statistics that prove it so that you can justify someone paying a fee to advertise on your website. The more popular your site is, the more you can charge.

I hope this information will help you implement a strategy to make a living online. Sometimes, it is easier to make money with a website that provides nothing but free information than it is with an actual business. The great thing about a having a successful website is that you can just sit back and do nothing while the money pours in. No website becomes popular overnight, but, if you are patient, you will reap the rewards in the long run.

How To Get High Profile Article Exposure & 24 Recommended Authority Sites

I’ll give you two scenarios. You tell me which is better.

In the first, you get a byline article published on the cover of Time magazine, seen by millions of people all over the world, in a format that is later syndicated online as well.

In the second, you get an article published that may or may not have your byline, in several hundred local papers with lower circulations, but that might get picked up by larger publications.

If your answer is “it depends on what I was attempting to achieve”, good on you for knowing a trick question when you see one.

As Loren recently wrote, there’s nothing wrong with getting some exposure or link juice for your articles through article redistribution directories. However, if you’re not submitting exclusive content to premium content channels, you’re missing out on the Rolls Royce version of online exposure.

If you’re looking to gain penetration in targeted markets where you can get affluent clients, you must take this critical step, and start getting published in more exclusive publications.

What’s the step that newbie internet authors and seasoned experts alike forget? Contributing content to online magazines and authority sites (including popular blogs).

You can often get more attention, links, and respect from colleagues and prospects alike, from being in one elite publication over the long term, than you would from mass distribution in second and third-tier republishing sites.

Not only can you get links both to the article where it is published and directly to your site, these are often highly valued link. This can help your search engine traffic because one permanent link from an authority site can be worth exponentially more than several expiring links from smaller, distribution-only article hubs.

I could go into a lot of detail about how to get into some of these online publications, blogs, online papers and magazines, but that’s an article for another day. Instead, I’ve compiled a short list below in a variety of niches, all of which will allow you to link back to your site. Keep in mind that submissions are screened at the majority of these sites. You may even need to be accepted as a staff member before you are published.

This is a benefit, not a drawback. The more exclusive the group of approved experts is, the better quality the information is, and the more likely you’ll be addressing a serious, knowledgeable audience.

  1. Web Pro News Many topics related to ebusiness, search engines, information technology or web development. You can either submit an article, one time,, or become a blog partner, and have on-going submissions.
  2. SEO News : It is what it says it is. Audience has a lot of new webmasters who need help with SEO and building traffic.
  3. Web Host Industry Review : Web related news - see their guidelines.
  4. Idea Marketers : No category restrictions, great quality, reputable publishers. Stats and proofreading services are available.
  5. WikiHow : “The How-To Manual You Can Edit” You can link to related information at your site under Sources and Citations.
  6. Buzzle : It’s quite simple to become an author. From hobbies to technology, there’s a spot for just about any niche.
  7. American Chronicles : They appear in Google News and their article show up in Moreover Headlines. Apply to be on staff, and, if accepted, you’ll be given a login to send articles to the editing staff.
  8. Site Reference : Categories include Internet marketing, design, programming and SEO. Sends great traffic, every time.
  9. Amazon.com: I haven’t used this as much since you can no longer link to your site’s A9.com landing page from within the site - back in 2005 I was secretly getting more visitors from Amazon than I got from Yahoo during the holiday season, which is saying a lot.

But as long as you mention related books in your guide, a plain text link can still bring enough traffic for it to be worth the extra five minutes it would take you to cut and paste an article. They are called “So You Would Like To… ” Guides - as long as there is a book on the subject, the field is wide open. This works best if you get an ISBN and self publish, but I used it for years before I ever did that.

  10. Web-Source.net : Contribute to this site and you may become a syndicated author, which means that the headline to your article will show up on hundreds of other sites too. Your article must be on internet marketing, promotion, advertising business or sales.
  11. Business Know-how : Small business to large, slant towards how-to, instructional, hints, and motivational articles/stories.
  12. Advisor.com - Expert Advice and Know-How : Mostly business related articles. Targeted traffic from people looking for experts.
  13. Advertising Know-How : They take articles on both advertising and marketing in my experience.
  14. Add Me : Over 300 Thousand subscribers. Online marketing or search marketing are the topics, they’ll take case studies, and articles. Look at their archive to get an idea of what they look for in an article.
  15. How To Advice : They accept how to advice on a variety of topics. The site looks simplistic, but they’re getting good traffic regardless.
  16. IM4Newbies.com : If your audience is internet marketing, you can find a lot of new people who are seeking good advice here. Join and participate in the community before you submit and you’ll get much better results. Run by a great guy named Mike Merz.
  17. LearnThat.com : High traffic site, submit your computer software, internet or computer hardware how- to article as a tutorial.
  18. Microsoft Developer Network : Read. The. Guidelines. I’m not kidding.
  19. Promotion World : Submit an article on anything you know (notice I didn’t say “theorize”) about promoting a site.
  20. Self Growth : Busiest self improvement site in the world that accepts outside content on a regular basis.
  21. Self SEO : It is what it sounds like. Submit do-it-yourself SEO tips. I find that the site is popular with people who aren’t necessarily doing-it-themselves, and may be looking to hire someone. This crowd knows enough about SEO to spot a fake, so be detailed but not to the point of pain.
  22. TopTen.org : Publishes to their community of coaches. Good networking opportunities can come out of this.
  23. Dell Power Solutions : The topic is enterprise IT solutions. I’d suggest downloading the PDF from Dell to see if your content would be compatible.
  24. Associate Programs : Run by the gracious and kind Allan Gardyne, this site is a mega-reference to affiliate programs and how to use them to generate a steady income. If you can target an idea to their population, this is good, quality traffic.

Well, that’s the short list, and that should get you started. I’ll go over how to find more yourself after the holiday.

Some of these sites were by big brand names. Others were niche sites, in marketing or search, and I threw in a few general sites for good measure.

Don’t make the mistake of only going after the ones with high Google PR or Alexa/Compete rankings. Much of the exposure you can get may come from a site that doesn’t get much web traffic, but has half a million email subscribers.

Track your submissions and do your best to send exclusive content to these sites. It’s well worth the reward.

What Is The Best Way To Select An Affiliate Program

Selling products and services through the Internet is unquestionably easier and much more rewarding compared to traditional marketing methods. The fact that there are millions of people worldwide logging online each day and there is an enormous possibility for any merchant to sell his or her products and generate huge income.

However, marketers are not the only ones who can benefit from online selling. A booming industry nowadays, provides a tremendous opportunity as well to individuals as affiliate marketers. In affiliate marketing, an affiliate marketer doesn?t need to have his own products and or services to sell. All he or she needs to do is to refer people to the merchant?s business site for them to buy the products and thereby, receive a commission.

The major factor to an affiliate marketer?s success is to choose a good affiliate program and to employ proven marketing techniques in promoting or selling the products to consumers. Why select just the good and not the best affiliate program? The reason is that no one affiliate program is the best affiliate marketing program, as one program might make one affiliate marketer a millionaire and the other a frustrated marketer.

In other words, any affiliate marketing program can be a success to one and a failure to another. But there are many good affiliate marketing programs to start with. How to make it the best depends on you.

But before you think how you are going to make it the best and financially rewarding, first think about how you are going to land on a good affiliate program with the thousands of affiliate marketing opportunities going live on the Internet today.

Review the following tips and suggestions on how to best select the affiliate program that?s right for you.

This is the information you must have in order to make the right choice. It is helpful when you have already focused your search to a specific interest or niche market, which may also be the theme of your website (if you already have one).

In this way, you would be able to direct yourself towards a program that really matches your needs, wants and resources. It would be easier for you to eliminate options that are not suited to your own criteria for a good affiliate marketing program. You should join affiliate forums for some tips, tricks and techniques and get suggestions from experienced affiliate marketers. However, make sure that you weigh all of their ideas before you buy into them.

The Internet Affiliate marketing program networks are good places to look for choices. Here, merchants and affiliate marketers like you meet. The merchants advertise their affiliate programs to interested affiliates who sign up in the network for free. Third party affiliate program networks are helpful since they provide you with access to a large number of advertisers (merchandisers) simultaneously.

You can easily track and compare their sales records, performances, benefits, products and services. So now you have choices, the next question is among all theses options, which program is the right one for you. Consider these things when deciding which programs to take and which programs to reject.

First, what is the quality of the products and services? As a professional affiliate marketer your goal is not only to make visitors of your site click the link to the business site; but more importantly, to promote the product so they would buy it. If your customers are not convinced when they visit the business site and place an order, you don?t earn a commission. Make sure the products you are endorsing are worthwhile. Ask yourself this: if I were the customer, would I buy it? Would I recommend it to my family or good friend? If you can?t convince yourself or your family and friends to buy it, take a look at your next option.

Second, check into the affiliate program or the merchandiser?s history.

Review their previous and present sales data, their proven and tested affiliate marketing systems and their partners? experiences with them. Although, success of the program really depends on the individual, this one is still very important. The sales records will not only show how good the affiliates are, but they speak about the products? reliability, market availability and the company or the merchandisers? reputation as well.

Be sure to look into and carefully study the company?s compensation plan. Your purpose for joining the program is to earn money, so make sure you?ll be paid fairly for all your efforts. Be sure to check if the merchandiser provides banners, graphics and articles.

Only select affiliate programs that provide these for your web site because if they don't, you will have to create them on your own. It is a major plus if the company provides training on how to effectively market their products online.

Don't forget, affiliate marketing is a partnership, so make sure your partner is able to support you as you help them promote their products and services. Take down all the advantages and disadvantages of each program you are considering so you can clearly see the difference among your options; then compare the advantages of the programs with your own checklist. Take time to gather all the information you need to choose the right program. Remember an informed choice is your best choice.

How To Develop Your Information Marketing Strategy

Information marketing - also called infopreneuring - is a method to take information you own, have licence to, or can have created for you, and then offer it to others for a profit or any other advantage. If in the process you also enrich your audience, you have a mutually beneficial process in place - one which will help grow and build your value as an information marketing specialist.

To get maximum leverage from your information marketing efforts, you must have an integrated strategy that will guide all your efforts at promoting yourself as an infopreneur.

1. What is your 'product'? Any information marketing strategy begins by knowing what you plan to offer. In other words, what is your product? It might be a book you have written. Or an audio tape you have recorded. Or a DVD movie you shot of yourself doing something or teaching people what you know about a topic. Or it may be more intangible, like your time on the telephone or in person, or your presence at a seminar or conference. Whatever format you choose to deliver your information becomes your 'product' - and your information marketing strategy will vary depending on that.

2. Who is your 'audience'? Every information marketing system is targeted at a crowd of prospects. The bigger this crowd, the better. But for maximum impact, you need to know more about your audience. Who or what is your perfect target market? It could be individuals, or groups, or corporations and businesses, or countries, organizations, even brands or ethnic groups. Your information marketing strategy will be tailored to fit the specific needs, wants, desires, characteristics, preferences and tastes of this audience - and will get you massive results from your infopreneuring activities.

3. Where do they live or gather? For targeting your information marketing efforts to get the biggest return on investment per dollar spent, you need to know where your market lives or gathers - so you can get your marketing message in front of them most effectively. An ad for a Lexus sportscar would do badly in a soup kitchen. And a promotion for a golfing book would get very few sales in a nursery school. Yet most information marketing activities fail to specifically target their market - and not surprisingly fail.

4. What is your profit model? Have you heard the phrase: "Build a better mousetrap and they'll beat a trail to your front door?" Well, maybe they will - but unless you've figured out a way to sell that mousetrap at higher than your cost, or found another way to turn a profit, all that demand won't do you a bit of good.

As an information marketing strategist, you need to be clear on your profit model - and figure out your marketing budget or the amount you can afford to spend to attract new customers, without losing money or for maximum profits. This barely scratches the surface of information marketing strategy.

There are many more things to consider - and many nuances to master in these broad categories. And that is why it is critically important to keep learning, growing your knowledge base, and studying other material that teach you to be a better infopreneur. Being successful with your home business

How to be successful with you home based business really depends on attitude, persistence and of course what your business offers.

Let’s start with attitude. Everyone starts out with this attitude that man I am going to succeed and be able to quit my full time job by next year! Well I am not going to say that can not happen, but let’s be realistic here.

A home based business is just like any other business, the only difference is you are doing it from home. And this kind of thinking that you will get rich over night is usually the death of your business. It is great to have a goal, but keep it within reach.

To have a successful home business, the key is watching it grow from month to month. So keeping your attitude good, and not get discouraged when you are not making $20K a month is the first key to being successful. Remember you want to grow each month, as you grow you also expand bringing in more business and revenue.

The hardest part about all that is when you first get going in your new home business. You are not known to anyone, so you have to sell your business to the public. I can remember when I first started; one website on the internet where you can put classified ads was not producing for me. And I had seen where it was a very good website for getting business. So after a few weeks went by, I came back to that website, and changed a few words in my ad. Bingo, what do you know, I started getting replies, and next thing I know I had people signing up under me to become affiliates. Now if I would have quit on that site, and said shoot this website is a joke, I would not have signed up all those people who in turn signed up people and they were selling, and bringing commission to me, and to themselves.

So I learned quickly that persistence is a key to help make your business grow. I wanted to give up, but I found it in me to keep trying, and trying. Let’s talk persistence, now this is where a lot of people die in the home business arena.

They run across failures of some sort, whether it is marketing, people not following through, etc. YOU HAVE to keep at it! Persistence is the key, if it failed once, does not mean it will fail again, you have to keep trying and trying and trying, and before you know it all that persistence will pay off for you.

Now we want to talk about what your business has to offer. We all know there are so many scams or so called businesses on the internet. Everything from taking surveys, to getting paid to read emails, to selling Viagra! So what are the true legitimate businesses out there to start in? Well to find that answer out, you have to a lot of research.

I have an article on the internet explaining in detail on how to go about finding the legitimate home businesses, and not the scams. You can read that article on my website. I can proudly say that

I have found 2 work at home businesses that I am successfully running and making money at. So just remember if you are wanting to start a home business, it will take some work, but the rewards are great! Persistence, attitude, and what your business offers are the keys to being successful

Tips on how to earn money with a home business

Everyone wants tips on how to earn money with a home based business. It never seems to amaze me that a lot of people with a work at home business are not earning some money. When I got to question a few of these people about why they are not earning any money, I found out why!

People, you have to do something to earn something! Just because you have joined a MLM or affiliate program, don’t think just by sitting back you will earn some money. NOT TRUE!!! So I have tried to make it easy on these people by coming up with the necessary things you need to do to earn money from home.

If you honestly do these things, and still don’t make any money then maybe a home business is not for you. But you need to be honest about this and put out the effort.

1. When you first start with a work at home business, set out at least an hour a day devoted to your business.

2. Spend the first day advertising your business on the free classified websites, there are literally thousands of these sites to advertise on.

3. If you have a website for your business, then spend day 2 submitting your website to all of the search engines, Yahoo, MSN, Google, AOL, etc.

4. Day 3 start submitting to ezines, this is a very good way to promote your business.

5. Day 4 start by writing an article to use in the yahoo groups. And with this article your can promote your website at the end of the article.

6. Day 5 submit your business to the various business message boards, there are lots out there that let you post an ad for your home business.

7. Day 6 you will want to start advancing up and checking for “Leads” that are interested in starting a home business. When you find a good source you will want to start emailing them. To do this you will want a good auto responder to handle the high volume of emails.

8. Day 7 you will want to start this process all over again. You can do these steps in any order, but remember persistence is the key. Spend an hour a day for the first 30 days on these 7 items. Each day promote your business in a different way.

Within 30 days you will start to see the rewards of your work that you only spent 7-10 hours a week on! Further more don’t expect to get rich overnight. The businesses offering “pie in the sky” so to speak do yourself a favor and stay away from those type of offers.

Do yourself a favor when you get involved with a work at home business. You owe it to yourself to give it an honest try. Nothing will happen, if you don’t do anything.

Jim Noel has 2 very successful online businesses that he has been operating for over a year now. Mr. Noel has the knowledge and knows how to promote and to generate a nice profit off of his 2 online businesses. Create Your Own Home Business

A home business is by far the best way to support yourself if you just cannot stand working for others for less money than you need to survive. It’s also the best way to get out of a good paying job that just takes up too much of your precious short life working for someone else.

Let’s face it, you probably know someone who has a home business. Do they look happy to you? Do they complain as much about work and money as you do? Probably not. This is not to say that you should quit your job and start a home business. You should start one while you still have your job. Some people complain that this is hard and takes up too much of their free time.

In the beginning a home business is not profitable – you have to work at it like anything else. Some people eventually go back to work blaming some program or home business opportunity that wasted their time and didn’t work. Unfortunately, the odds are actually that they didn’t work hard enough and stick to their dreams. Many people allow themselves to believe that there are no legitimate home businesses. It’s easier to go to work thinking this than to let themselves truly believe that a home business is possible, profitable, or liberating. But if you truly believe there are no good home businesses, that they are all scams, then what are the thousands of people doing everyday in your hometown driving around during work hours? You know the ones. The people you see on your day off that are driving around and standing in line in places you frequent on your days off. They can’t ALL be on their days off too! You have wondered, just like I did, what it is these people do. I know you have. Many of them have their own home business. Many of the people you see at the post office who know the clerks by first name are shipping packages of goods they sold on auction at Ebay or their own websites. The cars parked in the county clerk’s office in your home town. Some are employees there, but not all of them. Many of the people coming and going from that office in your town (during business hours when everyone should be working, right?) are real estate brokers, or no money down buyers and sellers looking up local property information. Home business owners are all around you, everyday.

The home business industry is quite literally booming and is getting larger exponentially by the month. The worst thing you could ever do to yourself, that is a life-altering belief system, is let yourself believe it is all a scam or that there is no room for YOUR creativity and YOUR value as a home business owner of any kind! Take me for instance! I own my own website and I sell information, business tools for home business people who work on the internet, and services of all kinds. I work from home. I am one of those people you see during the week driving around town while you wonder what it is I do for a living. Nice to meet you!

Earn Money Online With An Internet Income

To earn money online is an aspiration that is actually quite novel. In the years before all these new websites came into the scene, there were few opportunities to earn money online. Nowadays, you cannot surf the Net without stumbling on ideas to earn money online. An Internet subscription is not even necessary anymore.

The Internet offers many opportunites to make money. Many people choose to start an internet business of their own. Most of these businesses sell merchandise. These include clothing, collectibles, and everything in between. These businesses can have the potential to bring their owners a great deal of profit.

A reason to sell items over the internet is that it can be very prosperous, since there are wider markets available to you for sales. For example, if you have an unknown trading card and live in a small place in America, there are chances that nobody is going to be interested in buying your card, and you can forget any profit. Using the internet enables you to reach millions of persons all over the world.

The ability for Internet related businesses to reach the massess and people beyond the normal geographic reach is a huge advantage over static businesses. You have a lot to gain in many avenues by making use of this advantage, should you successfully integrate the Internet with your business.

Another way to earn money online is to be hired into an internet job. What this is is a job that you work over the internet. Some of the types of these jobs are in telemarketing. You can find many companies online that offer jobs to people over the internet. These jobs are normally working in a call center selling items for another company.

You can even make money online by selling off your junk. You don't have to have a complete store selling items in order to be capable of making money online. Most people have large amounts of items available to them that they do not utilize on a daily or even yearly basis. Many people find that they can sell these items to people that need them for potential profits. There are many online auction sites that will allow people to accomplish this at a relatively low cost to them.

How to earn money online: One effective and popular method is to open an online store. Advantages of this option include a wide customer base and a wide array of niche markets to fill. Internet businesses have the advantage of a wide geographical reach compared to stationary ones, and Internet companies should use this to their advantage. Internet jobs are another option. Harnessing the Internet, one can telemarket or answer customer service questions at a call center. Online garage sales are also a good idea. There is no need to move items outside or deal with passers-by, as the auction site will take care of this for you.

Make your Own FREE Blog

You can create one for your own personal use to show your family and friends, promote your own companies products or make money by promoting affiliates or various other money makers. No matter what you plan to make a website for this is how to do it.

Step 1:
Come up with an idea for your website. Try to make it something you are interested in and/or something you have at least some knowledge of. If you have no knowledge on the subject but you really want to create a website on the subject it is possible just be sure you research things before you give out information.

Step 2:
Think of one good keyword or keyword phrase. If you are building a website about inline skates your keyword should be something like ' inline skates'. When choosing your keyword keep your competitors in mind. If you are building a website about computers you may want to think twice before picking the keyword 'computers'. If you have plenty of money for marketing your website then you may be able to be successful with a very competitive keyword but if you are an average person you may want to think of something a little less competitive like 'computer information'.

A very valuable resource you should use ( I use it just about every day for one thing or another) is the Keyword Selector Tool at http://inventory.overture.com. Type in your keyword in the very simple tool, this will show you how many searches were on yahoo in the last month on the keyword you typed in and on other keywords similar to it. I would suggest picking a keyword that is RELEVANT to the theme of your site that has somewhere between 2,000 and 10,000 searches a month. This is because of what I said before, competition. If you are starting your first website you DO NOT need to waste your time competing with Dell or Microsoft. Once you choose your Keyword or Keyword phrase either write it down or memorize it, this will be a very important part of getting your website known.

Step 3:
Now that you have the idea for your website and the keyword, you need a domain (the actual website address, ie. http://www.yoursite.com) Now you need to think of a domain name. When considering your domain name, try to think of one that has each word of your keyword or keyword phrase in it, for instance, if your keyword is computer information the idea domain would be http://www.computerinformation.com. Of course most domains are allready taken so you will have to add something in, a suggestion would be http://www.computer-information-now.com . Do not get too stuck on picking the right domain name, allthough it is better to have your keyword in your domain, it will not badly damage your marketing.
You register domains through what is called a 'Website Host' Choosing a bad host can cause problems in the future. I have always used the same host called 1and1, so I honestly couldn't tell you all about every host out there. 1and1 provides me with everything I have needed in my online business and I would recommend them to anyone. For this instruction I will use 1and1 for the examples as this is the Host I am familiar with. To find out which domains are available go to 1and1 homepage, on the right in the middle of the page there is a spot to check domain availability, you simply type in the domain you are interested in and it will tell you if it is available or not.

Step 4:
Now that you have chosen your domain name you will need to register it. Right now, August 2006, one domain on 1and1 costs 6 dollars per year. This is a very good price, I think just about everyone in the world can afford to spend six dollars a year to own a website that could possibly bring in 10,000 times that in a year. On the previous step I explained how to find out if a domain is available or not. Go back to the 1and1 website, type in the domain you have chosen and just follow the simple steps. You will have to choose a hosting package, since you are probably brand new to all of this you may want to choose the basic package but if you know you are going to stick with this you will eventually want to purchase the business package.

Step 5:
Now you have come up with the idea for your site, chosen a good keyword, chosen a domain and registered it. Now how do you actually create the website? I think this is the step that scares most people away from the idea of making your own website, but it is actually very easy. You DO NOT have to know HTML ( Hypertext Markup Language- The code that actually makes a website work) to build a website, you DO NOT have to know anything about Website Design, all you have to know is what I have told you already and what I am about to tell you.
If you do know how HTML works it is possible to make your website straight through your host but it will take you 10 times more time and effort. There is software out there that has been created for you to use that will create the HTML for you. I use a program called Dreamweaver. Dreamweaver is said to be the number one website building software on the market. This is the only software I have used and I can honestly say it is INCREDIBLE. When I first purchased this software I had no idea how to use it. It took a few hours to learn how to use the basics and a few weeks to learn the more advanced stuff but anyone can learn how to use it just by messing around with it and seeing what things do.

Dreamweaver also provides a good training tutorial on their website. Purchasing this software will be the biggest investment you will make in the whole process of making a website but in the long run it is WELL worth the investment. You can go to the main website through the banner I have placed below. If you get stuck you can always call them, afterall you did pay for the software, they should provide technical support right? They do!

Well thats it, if you have followed all of these steps just how I said, you now have your very own unique, operational Website.

Search Engine Optimization Tips

NO ONE knows exactly what the SE's look for when they show a site at the top of their results. There are, however, many optimization techniques used that have proven to provide great results.

Some of the techniques I will tell you about here are techniques that I have personally gotten great results with. I will also tell you about some small things that many SEO experts say are a good thing to do. SEO optimization is something that is frequently changing but if you learn at least the basics you wont go wrong.

There are many different opinions on exactly what SEO optimization is so I will tell you mine. SEO means you are optimizing your website in order to gain top SE placement, this means link building, obtaining the right key word density on pages, creating allot of content and having good clean html code to give a very basic explanation.
So lets get started. I will use this website as an example when going through techniques.

Domains - Many say having your keyword in the URL of your site is very important. In my opinion it is not as important as it was in the past but it definitely would not hurt to go ahead and do so. My main keyword is 'make money online' so i have money and online in the URL. Keyword density is important on page so I figure it is important in the URL as well. Too much of any keyword is bad so I try to have about 60-75 percent keyword density in my URL.

META Tags - Probably the two most important parts of Optimizing your code that really need to be right are the title tag and description tag. Here is an example of what i'm talking about:

Title - Make sure your title is TO THE POINT. Do not add anything extra. Whatever the main keyword for the page is, is what the title should be, no more no less. That brings me to another point, having different titles for each individual page. I have come across many sites that either do not have title and description tags at all or have the exact same ones for every page on their site. It is very important to establish a main keyword for each individual page and place the exact keyword in the title tag. You should not have the same title in any two pages.

Description - Use the same advice I gave for the title tag when creating the description but you can add a little more than the keyword in here. Do not make the description too long. I recommend somewhere around 6-10 words. The description should be on every page as well. The description should be different for every page and unique to that individual page.
Keyword Saturation - The number of times your keyword shows up on each page is not as impoartant as it used to be with the implementation of LSI (Latent Semantic Indexing) but in my oppinion it is still somewhat important. The phrase keyword saturation refers to the number of times your keyword shows up on any given page. Each page on your site should have a different main keyword. You need to use this main keyword in the content of the page you are creating but do not get too carried away. I do not believe that there's a set percentage. I believe that the search engine algorithms are much more complex than that and the percentage of each keyword phrase is a very small part of their overall decision.

Keywords - In the old days of Internet Marketing a webmaster could obtain top SE ranking just by stuffing their keyword meta tags full of their keyword without any SEO optimization. Those days are gone along with the importance of the keyword meta tag. Many webmasters continue to use this tag like myself, just in case but I have not noticed any kind of an effect nor have I heard others talk about one. This is what the keywords meta tag should look like:

HTML Format - The basic format of any html page should begin with then , followed by

Article Marketing

There are many factors that go into the successful promotion of a Business via the Internet. Sure, you can pay for advertising using Google Adwords or one of the other Pay Per Click (PPC) programs but who wants to spend money on something that they can get for Free? Article Marketing is a free form of advertising that can and will skyrocket your sales if done correctly!
What is Article Marketing? Article Marketing is the process of writing interesting articles on your niche and submitting them to popular Article Directories,
Ezines and Newsletters in order to brand your name, product and/or service.

Each article that you create will have a Signature Box or About the Author section that contains a little information about you and your Business including a link or two pointing to your Website.

These links will help in the Search Engines (SE) ranking of your Website but that is only the beginning!

The ultimate goal is to create articles that are of value and interest to the viewer. Article Marketing is a very hot topic in the Internet Marketing community for good reason. The problem is, most people do not appreciate the beauty of this marketing machine.

The true power of Article Marketing lies in the Authors willingness to truly help their audience. When you create interesting, helpful articles that answer questions and/or fix problems, they have a good chance of going viral. A viral article is one that is so interesting that one person sends it to his or her friends and their friends send it to their friends and so on.
In order to succeed with Article Marketing you need to understand the routine of the average Article Marketer. The average Article Marketer writes an article in about 20 minutes and blasts it to as many article directories as possible. Their main goal is to write as many articles as possible and submit these articles to as many article directories as possible. Most of the articles that they create are on rehashed subjects that their target audience probably already knows all about. They have not generated interest and they have not solved any problems! The only thing that they gain is links from several different article directories of which are mostly low quality.
Now that you know that, you already fall in the top 10% of all Article Marketers and you haven’t even begun!

How do I get started with Article Marketing? First you need to know your target audience. Most likely you already know whom you will be targeting, as it is the same as the target audience of your Business.

Second, think of a problem that your target audience faces. The larger the problem, the better. If you know how to solve this problem then you are ready to begin. If not, keep thinking until you come up with a problem.Once you have decided what topic your article will be on, you will need to come up with one main “keyword.” For instance, if the problem you are addressing is how to remove coffee stains from a carpet then your keyword may be “coffee stain removal.”
Now think of an attractive title. The title of your article is extremely important; as this is what will draw in your viewers, so make it interesting. Another thing to keep in mind is that many of the Article Directories place the title in their META tags. If you are not sure what META tags are it’s OK. Just know that they play a role in the SE’s decision on whether or not a particular page should rank high for a specific keyword. Be sure to insert the keyword that you came up with into the title.

Now you need to put your thoughts onto paper, not in the literal sense unless this would be easier for you. Open your favorite word processor, Microsoft Word is the most common, and type in your title.

Now that you have a topic and keyword, it is time to write the article. When creating your article let the words flow just as if you are speaking. Try to make it as interesting as possible and break it up into several small paragraphs. This will make it easier to read, as most people “scan” through articles online. Be sure to create a paragraph at the very end of your article that contains about 2 sentences. This paragraph is your “Signature Block” and this is where you will say a few words about your Business. Be sure to include a link or two as well.

Once you have finished your article it is time to submit it. Go to EzineArticles.com and ArticleDashboard.com and create an account. Once your accounts are created and active you are ready to submit your article. It can take several days for these sites to approve your article, as they are manually reviewed.

The last thing you will need to do is seek out Websites that contain Newsletters and/or Ezines. Contact these Webmasters and let them know that you create interesting articles that focus on the subject within their list and you would be delighted if they would take a look. Some of these Publishers will deny you and some will accept. The main thing is that you continue to write interesting articles as often as possible.

That is how to get started with Article Marketing in a nut-shell. Just “rinse and repeat” and you will start to see some very good results!
